First Universalist Church Restoration

The First Universalist (Independent Christian) Church in Gloucester, built in 1806, received exterior restoration after research to identify its historic appearance and inspection to document existing conditions.  Structural repairs were made to the tower with Structures North Consulting Engineers. Plans and specifications were prepared for the exterior carpentry and  conservation repairs made to historic windows, doors and trim details including tower railings and pilasters.  The slate roof of the church, metal roof of the tower, and weathervane were restored along with its historic Palladian color scheme.
